Meet Barney
Before founding Barneys Earthworx, Barney spent years in the demanding world of mining. As a road train driver on major mine sites, he was responsible for helping build and set up massive operations from the ground up. He learned the value of precision, heavy machinery maintenance, and getting a job done right the first time in high-pressure environments.
Life changed in 2015. After building our family home and welcoming our daughter, the weeks spent away on FIFO and DIDO rosters became a challenge we no longer wanted to face. We wanted to be home, rooted in our community, and building something of our own. With a shared vision, we decided to launch a local earthmoving business. What started as a humble operation with a Dingo mini-digger has grown through grit, honest service, and constant reinvestment.
Today, Barneys Earthworx has evolved into a professional fleet featuring a 3.5-tonne excavator, RT50 Posi-track, and a heavy-duty tip truck.
While the equipment has grown, the mission remains the same: providing the Lockyer Valley with high-quality, reliable earthworks that only a local owner-operator can deliver.
